This role will serve as the lead architect, guiding the strategic direction for secure and seamless application connectivity across the enterprise. Your leadership will ensure that organizational data and applications remain protected, all application integrations meet the highest standards of security and compliance, and application NFR adheres to the standards set. Location: Doha Metropolitan Area, Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization roadmap and adopt best practices for improving the overall security posture of company applications.
  • Ensure that application deployment and connectivity architecture is robust and compliant with company policies.
  • Align security of mobility solutions with industry best practices for consistent enterprise implementation.
  • Establish strategy for management of security certificates used across the enterprise with minimal costs.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues around network, proxy, firewall, and security incidents.
  • Handle and manage secrets stored within application servers.
  • Collaborate with the company cyber governance team to refine ongoing security guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain an enterprise NFR framework covering availability, reliability, performance, scalability, observability, maintainability, auditing, and security.
  • Define measurable NFR KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs across critical platforms.
  • Assess and define reference architecture and NFR patterns for multi-cloud, hybrid, and distributed systems.
  • Architect observability solutions and define performance validation strategies using various tools.
  • Ensure systems meet compliance and audit requirements for data residency, logging, and access control.
  • Validate secure integration practices for APIs and third-party connectors.

Qualifications:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 10+ years in architecture or system design roles, with 3+ years focused on Application security & NFRs.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in performance, scalability, and reliability engineering.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing stacks.
  • Knowledge of security standards (OAuth, SAML, TLS, encryption-in-transit).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure/Google architecture expert.
  • Experience in enterprise sectors like aviation is a plus.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is expected; additional languages are a plus.
