About the Role
The C-17 Product Repair & Modifications Technician will support the company in Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait. This position is an integral part of the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team, responsible for providing on-site maintenance support for Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft. The technician will engage in both organizational and intermediate level maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft readiness to meet KAF mission requirements.

This role involves working one of two shifts from Sunday through Thursday, along with weekends and holidays as needed to support the flight line maintenance requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- English is the primary language, thus competency in reading, comprehension, and speaking English is necessary.
- Lead the assembly, disassembly, and/or modification of systems through changes, removals, replacements, or upgrades of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul procedures.
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Direct troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Oversee validation and verification testing of systems and components.
- Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, including repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results.
- Inspect components and verify repairs to meet flight worthiness requirements.
- Lead and supervise others in tasks associated with safe handling of aerospace vehicles, such as jacking, towing, and system operations.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members.
- Perform duties with minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in C-17 maintenance.
- Candidate must meet cultural requirements of the host country.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required, necessitating U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required post-start.
Typical Education/Experience:
- Education typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and approximately 7 or more years of C-17 related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate plus 2 years of related work, Bachelor’s degree, etc.).
- Employment contingent on satisfying all labor and immigration formalities, including a clean criminal records check.
