The Project Manager is responsible for overall project delivery, involved from the sales engagement stage through to the technical design, commercial and legal aspects, and ultimately ensuring project delivery within scope, timeline, and using allocated resources. This role also has profit and loss accountability for assigned projects and adheres to the pm@the company process. Reporting to the Head of Grid Software QA and BH in Doha, Qatar, the Project Manager will operate across the Middle East region and actively support sales and proposal activities directly with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully understand customer objectives, and project contractual scope and obligations
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
- Maintain strong customer relationships and effective communication
- Manage resources through efficient planning and identification of required skills
- Highlight potential opportunities and risks to management
- Monitor resources and subcontractors' assigned work closely
- Review all types of documents before sending to customers
- Identify and qualify appropriate subcontractors with procurement's help
- Manage projects according to pm@the company guidelines
- Drive variation orders from ongoing projects through proper change management
- Prepare and conduct regional Project Review Meetings regularly
- Support in building regional delivery teams and improve team performance
- Assist in creating competitive, technically and commercially accurate offers
- Participate in field sales activities and business development to grow the pipeline and achieve sales targets
- Define processes aligned with the global Grid SW solutions strategy
- Coordinate resources across the region to maintain productivity goals
- Support product development for timely delivery of features and enhancements
- Follow on Product Life Cycle Management in supporting product implementation
Required Skills / Experience
- At least 8 years of project management experience in Software development, Integration, and Smart grids
- Experience working with utilities preferably within the Smart Grid market (Grid Control, Grid Simulation, Smart Metering, Grid edge, Consulting)
- Experience managing software and integration projects using Agile methodology
- pm@the company or PMP certification is a must
- Motivated by continuous learning and initiative-driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal/external customers
- Ability to balance multiple projects under pressure
- Experience with international and cross-border projects
- Strong intercultural experience and team building skills
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in changing environments and multiple projects
- Results-oriented, assertive, customer-oriented, and possess leadership skills
- Proficient in business English (German is a plus)
