The company is seeking an experienced Senior Application Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security organization. In this role, you will strengthen the security of our applications, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines by partnering with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to embed security into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Your main responsibilities will include implementing and optimizing security controls within CI/CD platforms, promoting secure coding standards, and conducting API risk assessments. This position is perfect for a hands-on security professional with deep technical expertise in application, API, and DevSecOps security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate security practices throughout the SDLC.
- Promote secure coding standards and tooling.
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls in CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Automate security scanning in the build and release pipelines.
- Conduct API risk assessments and promote secure API design patterns.
- Mentor engineering teams on secure coding practices.
Qualifications Required:
- 5-8+ years in Application Security, Product Security, or Secure Software Development.
- Hands-on experience securing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of supply chain security frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/Node.js).
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SBOM generation and SCA.
- Familiarity with runtime protection tools and GitOps.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and the ability to influence teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an automation-first mindset.

Salary Range:
Annual Salary USD 106,000 - 243,000 (in Texas)
