We are seeking a Senior Concept Engineer to join our Projects team in Oman, focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. This role plays a key part in Business Development, particularly in feasibility, concept, and pre-FEED studies related to Liquid Hydrogen, Fertilizers, Midstream, and Petrochemical opportunities.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Concept Engineer, you will execute activities associated with project evaluation and development. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development process from initiation to conceptual and pre-FEED design (basis of design).
- Framing the Business Opportunity and developing Project Initiation Notes along with supporting business cases.
- Creating a project portfolio framework for business opportunities and conceptual design of process facilities, utilities, storage, and dispensing systems.
- Identifying and selecting optimum technologies and conducting techno-commercial assessments.
- Collaborating to develop production, storage, transportation, loading and unloading systems while assessing logistics requirements for project efficiency.
- Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to secure components and supplies for liquid hydrogen systems.
- Designing selected concept options and evaluating equipment for compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Developing operating, measurement, and control philosophies for integrated facilities.
- Managing commitments, timelines, and presenting strategies to the leadership team.
- Conducting site inspections and meetings with stakeholders in Oman.
- Engaging with commercial and legal advisors to manage project risks.
- Developing CAPEX Class V and IV and OPEX cost estimates, preparing FEED packages, and working with technology licensors.
- Engaging in value engineering, risk assessments, and aligning project plans with co-developers.
- Developing bankable commercial structures and working with financial advisors for funding.
- Preparing documentation needed for various approval stages of the project.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BSc or Engineering degree, with membership in a recognized professional institute preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years' experience in the oil and gas downstream industry.
- Experience working with multinational and multicultural project teams is strongly preferred.
- Excellent creative engineering and commercial skills, strong leadership qualities, and comprehensive knowledge of cost and OPEX estimating.
- Familiarity with technologies and processing related to cryogenic operations, liquefaction, storage, and handling of feedstock and products.
