About the Role
The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and program quality standards. This role involves overseeing quality assurance and control activities, conducting audits and inspections, monitoring performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement across roads and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the Programme Quality Management System (QMS) in coordination with PWA and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, technical specifications, and applicable quality standards.
  • Coordinate quality audits, site inspections, non-conformance reporting, and timely closure of corrective and rectification works.
  • Analyse quality trends, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures and process improvements.
  • Monitor programme KPIs and maintain quality dashboards, tracking spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with GEC departments, senior project managers, area teams, and contractors to ensure effective implementation of quality procedures and timely reporting.
  • Promote knowledge management, lessons learned, and international best practices across the programme.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training support to staff and project teams.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of quality policies and procedures across roads and infrastructure projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status or professional registration is preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years of total postgraduate experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management for infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive GCC experience, preferably in Qatar, involving major roads and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in QMS implementation, quality audits, NCR management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.
