Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of GIS solutions using the company technologies.
- Provide expert advice on geospatial strategies, system architecture, and best practices.
- Manage and maintain GIS platforms including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS.
- Oversee spatial data management, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of GIS databases.
- Develop and optimize GIS applications, tools, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems, including Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Conduct advanced spatial analysis and produce high-quality maps, reports, and visualizations.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into GIS solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior GIS staff and team members.
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance of GIS services.
- Stay updated with emerging GIS technologies and recommend continuous improvements.
- Support project delivery by ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, presentations, and user training when required.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Preferred certifications include Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and/or Oracle Certified Associate (OCA). ESRI certification is an advantage.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with the company products, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong proficiency in the company products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and related tools).
- Experience in Oracle and SQL Server database management.
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, PL/SQL, C#, VB.NET, HTML5, and/or JavaScript.
- Ability to communicate GIS requirements effectively to non-GIS professionals.
- Knowledge of server and network infrastructure administration.
