Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Procurement Team, aligning procurement practices with operational strategy and long-term business goals.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance cost-effectiveness, compliance, and service delivery.
- Shape and implement best-in-class procurement operating models and processes across functions.
- Provide actionable insights and data-backed recommendations to optimize procurement and contracting operations.
- Apply knowledge of aviation technical certification requirements and compliance.
- Manage full lifecycle procurement and contracting activities for major technical and capital projects.
- Lead contract negotiation and performance tracking.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory frameworks and internal governance.
- Engage cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, technical leads, and finance to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
- Supervise and mentor the procurement team to achieve high standards in delivery, reporting, and compliance.
- Identify and drive initiatives to streamline procurement processes and systems.
- Lead implementation of risk management and control frameworks to reduce procurement risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, of which at least 5 years must have been in an aviation environment. Proven experience of at least five (5) years in aviation technical procurement.
- Experience in managing procurement for complex technical projects and contract operations.
- Commercial and financial acumen, with experience in whole life cost modeling.
- Strong background in project/change management and procurement process optimization.
- Deep expertise in Procurement & Contracts Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Aviation Procurement and Technical Sourcing.
- In-depth knowledge of Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) and Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE).
- Experience in Financial Analysis (whole life costing).
- Strong contract and negotiation skills.
- Regulatory and Compliance knowledge (including SB’s, STC’s, and EUU’s).
