Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading project delivery with a primary focus on Kuwait in the Middle East. This hands-on, site-facing position requires you to support the Programme Director by coordinating workstreams and ensuring that project delivery aligns with agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and customer commitments.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for managing the coordination of design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams through all project stages, from design development to installation and acceptance. Acting as a design manager/coordinator during design development, you will oversee deliverables, manage design reviews, and ensure alignment with technical requirements and site delivery constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring delivery remains focused on scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and customer outcomes.
• Maintain project governance, including delivery reviews, action tracking, decision logs, escalation routes, reporting cycles, and customer-facing progress forums.
• Oversee integrated planning, schedules, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, RAID, change control, and delivery forecasts.
• Coordinate project delivery across customer, government, regulatory, ICP, consultant, subcontractor, and internal interfaces.
• Maintain a regular site presence across Kuwait, travelling frequently to project locations to review progress, resolve blockers, and confirm construction and installation readiness.
• Act as design manager/coordinator during design development, overseeing consultant deliverables and managing design review cycles and approval processes.
• Coordinate design workshops and reviews among technical teams, consultants, customers, and site delivery teams.
• Manage design queries, technical clarifications, deviations, approvals, and installation-readiness constraints.
• Ensure that construction and design activities comply with applicable Kuwait health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Assist with tender activity, scope interpretation, and delivery advice as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management and delivery of complex construction and system integration projects, including multi-site programmes.
• Beneficial experience in civil construction and design for communication towers and data centres.
• Experience in working with in-country partners, design consultants, and government stakeholders in the Middle East or similar environments.
• Capable of reviewing contractor programmes, identifying schedule risks, supporting recovery planning, and translating programme issues into practical actions.
• Strong capability in managing design clarifications, technical deviations, and procurement interfaces.
• Experience acting as a design manager or client-side design lead, including managing consultant deliverables and approval workflows.
• Knowledge of project governance, integrated planning, RAID management, change control, and stakeholder management.
• Experience supporting a Programme Director by consolidating delivery reporting and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Comfortable operating in a site-based capacity with flexibility to travel regularly across the Middle East.
• Proficient in IT (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project Scheduling software including P6 and MSP, CAD).
• Excellent communication skills, adaptable to suit customers, partners, and internal teams.
