Security Engineers monitor systems for attacks and intrusions and collaborate with software engineers to identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. In this role, you will support customer engagements, participate in presale activities, and contribute to building and securing internal Public Sector (GPS) assets. As a Senior Security Engineer within GPS, your focus will be on delivering tailored technical solutions that assist in the digital transformation of public sector institutions.

Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)
Work Conditions:
- Hybrid: In-office locations in Reston, VA and remote options available in Colorado, Maryland, Texas, and Virginia.
- Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
- Active Top Secret security clearance required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with system architecture, paradigms, and global infrastructure deployment.
- 5 years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- 2 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
- Familiarity with automated deployment models such as CI/CD and GitOps.
- Knowledge of key security areas such as threat modeling and incident response.
- Proven ability to secure products on GCP or other cloud service providers.
Compensation:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined based on work location and factors including relevant skills and experience.
