Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the job:
Senior Site Reliability Engineers are specialists in treating operations as a software problem. They focus on reliability of systems and services - addressing availability, performance, scalability, latency, observability, and efficiency. They work on maintaining key components and developing systems that will minimize human labor (through automation) and increase system reliability with the end goal of breaking the relationship between system size, operational toil, and complexity.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing technical solutions based on business requirements
• Estimating effort and impact of work items
• Collaborating with team members and across partner teams
• Designing and implementing technical tasks
• Participating in incident response for team issues
• Building software applications using relevant development languages
• Refactoring and simplifying code with design patterns
• Ensuring application quality through testing techniques
• Maintaining data security, integrity, and quality
• Evaluating architecture solutions and implications of system changes
• Designing solutions that meet current requirements and allow for future enhancements
• Monitoring application health and performance
• Managing applications or services through deployment and operations in production
• Addressing and resolving live production issues within SLA
• Improving system reliability through root cause analysis
• Automating infrastructure to reduce technical debt and improve scalability
• Partnering with development teams to improve application reliability
• Identifying patterns and issues in complex situations and finding solutions
• Identifying opportunities for process, system, and structural improvements
• Providing clear and effective communication to target audiences
• Advising product teams on technical solutions aligned with requirements
• Preparing for pre-employment screening check if application is successful
