The Information Systems team at the company provides services for over 60 million Ubuntu users and is dedicated to pioneering advancements in large-scale information systems. As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will spearhead devops practices, coordinate projects, mentor engineers, and ensure service level agreements are met globally. This position requires a strong background in Linux and operations, as well as experience in managing devops teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily agile devops practices within the team.
  • Act as a representative of the Information Systems team to stakeholders and customers.
  • Organize and drive internal engineering projects.
  • Mentor team members for skill improvement.
  • Implement and maintain structured engineering and operation processes.
  • Deliver quality managed services consistently and on schedule.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in software delivery using infrastructure as code.
  • Experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar solutions.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
  • Technical aptitude for navigating complex distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with various cloud technologies and topologies.
  • Ability to travel twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
  • Outstanding academic background from high school through university.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Ubuntu system administration.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in managing distributed teams.
