SR. IT ENGINEER (ENT. ARCHITECTURE)

About the Role
This position involves developing and maintaining enterprise architecture principles, models, standards, guidelines, and procedures while managing various enterprise architecture assets and artifacts. The role requires participating in architecture assessments for IT initiatives to ensure alignment with approved principles and standards. As part of the Architecture Review Board (ARB), you will handle operations by assessing requests and maintaining an architecture repository to ensure accurate documentation across all enterprise architecture domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture principles, models, standards, guidelines, procedures, and assets including reference architectures, target architectures, capability models, and technology roadmaps for the enterprise IT ecosystem.
• Analyze and develop architecture standards, patterns, and guidelines for system design and integration.
• Perform ARB operations by reviewing requests, coordinating planning sessions, conducting compliance assessments, and tracking decisions.
• Maintain and update the architecture repository ensuring accurate documentation across all domains.
• Research emerging technologies, proposing innovative solutions to drive digital excellence and competitive advantage.
• Assess business technology investments based on understanding business strategies and future needs.
• Ensure seamless integration of new solutions and changes through the creation of architectural blueprints and solution roadmaps.
• Manage the enterprise architecture tool, incorporating changes in business processes, data, applications, and technology.
• Lead communications related to enterprise architecture governance to keep all stakeholders informed and compliant with standards.
• Compile guidance materials for IT staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in enterprise architecture practices.

Required Experience and Skills

• 9+ years of experience in an enterprise IT environment.
• At least 4 years of experience in enterprise architecture practices and operations.
• Experience in the energy industry is considered an asset.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
