Aircraft Programs Readiness & Assurance ensures that new BFE cabin products and solutions are developed, certified, industrialized, and delivered in full compliance with requirements and technical specifications, through independent product, supplier, and readiness assurance activities to proactively manage risks and support informed decision-making across BFE programs.

About the Role

As a member of the Aircraft Programs Readiness & Assurance function, you will provide independent assurance of cabin BFE products and suppliers. You will assess product maturity, supplier capability, and readiness across design, development, certification, industrialization, production, quality, and aircraft installation to ensure supplier deliverables meet program objectives.

Accountabilities include, but not limited to:

  • Perform all new supplier products' Source Inspections (SI) related to Cabin Interior systems prior to delivery to ensure the products are per specifications and free of any manufacturing defects.
  • Conduct Cabin Interior systems' supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and update the critical supplier audit system and schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for resolution of Cabin Interior related in-service issues of new products/systems.
  • Participate in OEM, supplier, and internal technical reviews throughout the product development lifecycle to assess design maturity, qualification status, certification progress, and technical compliance.
  • Develop, monitor, and report product design maturity metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support readiness assessments, program gate decisions, and management reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, assurance methodologies, assessment criteria, and lessons learned activities.
  • Ensure cabin products developed by suppliers achieve product specifications, functional requirements, operational expectations, certification objectives, and production readiness criteria throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Identify technical risks, design maturity gaps, interface concerns, and configuration management issues that may impact program objectives.
  • Participate in new aircraft definitions/retrofits and product selection along with airline stakeholders.
  • Participate in product and work scope definition and development through Initial Technical Coordination Meeting (ITCM), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR) with involved suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify supplier design-related risks, capability gaps, technical constraints, and recovery challenges.
  • Assess supplier readiness to meet technical commitments, development milestones, and program deliverables.
  • Provide clear design readiness status, technical risk positions, and recommendations to support program reporting, governance committees’ submissions, and executive decision-making.
