Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex customer issues related to Ubuntu, OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes
- Maintain close working relationships with the company's field, support, and product engineering teams
- Participate in upstream communities and debug issues
- Propose workarounds and collaborate with Software Engineers to produce patches
- Demonstrate sound judgment in technical methods
- Manage time effectively against priorities
- Contribute to team activities for process improvement
- Maintain clear and concise technical communications
- Provide subject matter expertise as the final escalation point for operational issues
Qualifications:
- Professional experience troubleshooting advanced Linux issues
- Background in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field
- Strong experience with Linux, LXD, OpenStack, Ceph, or Kubernetes
- Proficiency in debugging with Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux
- Familiarity with gdb, pdb, tcpdump, and git source code repositories
- Willingness to travel for internal events
Additional Skills:
- Passion for technology and collaboration with skilled individuals
- Curiosity, flexibility, articulation, and accountability
- Experience with Ubuntu Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and related technologies is a plus
