The Technical Manager is responsible for leading complex technical projects and managing multiple projects and work streams concurrently. This role includes overseeing the work of Technical Managers and the Technical Team to ensure detailed technical investigations, designs, and optimizations are executed efficiently. The Technical Manager will also maintain proper liaison with statutory authorities and ensure that all necessary documentation and drawings are produced to enhance operational efficiency and technical excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of technical strategies and operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product development, quality, cost, and delivery, maximizing efficiency and driving technical excellence.
- Identify and resolve technical design and construction problems.
- Maintain a safe working environment and apply the Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Manage the technical team on the project site by providing direction, strategy, and daily/weekly/monthly task planning.
- Foster strong relationships with all project stakeholders and technical team members.
- Increase the efficiency of the technical team's performance through smart methodologies.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables while adhering to budget constraints.
- Contribute to critical strategic decisions and directions for the project.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Strong practical experience with the ability to prepare detailed method statements.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent understanding of material engineering properties and both local and global availability of materials.
- Proficient technical skills to organize and oversee the preparation of technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Project Management principles.
- ERP knowledge, specifically with SAP functional skills, is essential for success in this role.
Job Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
- 2 years of experience in the GCC region is a plus.
