Technical Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer at Fortinet, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and partners regarding Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate and FortiProxy. Your primary duties will include offering assistance through web/chat and voice communication, collecting and analyzing customer network information to resolve technical issues, recommending corrective actions based on data analysis, and conducting real-time troubleshooting sessions with customers. You will also advise and educate engineers and customers, identify and recreate unique or recurring problems, set up test environments for replication of customer-reported issues, and prepare required technical documentation.

To qualify for this role, a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the Networking/Networking Security industry is required, along with strong knowledge of general networking and network security concepts. Candidates should be able to work independently and in teams, learn new technologies quickly, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Desired qualifications include relevant industry certifications (e.g., NSE 4/NSE 7, CCNA, CCIE, PCNSE, JNCIA), basic experience with network security devices like firewalls and IPS, familiarity with dynamic routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and a good understanding of VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL VPN.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, BCA, or BSc. A Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering with relevant experience is also acceptable.
