The Test Plan and Validation Manager is accountable for the complete testing strategy and execution for all components, module, core and full-engine tests, including development, certification, and flight testing. The role participates in the Verification and Validation strategy of the turbofan and ensures all tests support technical maturity, safety, reliability, and certification compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the overall test strategy for the turbofan development program, considering customer requirements.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all test campaigns, including component and rig testing, module and core engine performance tests, and certification tests.
  • Oversee engine test cells, ground test infrastructure, and propose adaptations when needed.
  • Validate data-processing methodologies and approve test reports while ensuring traceability and consistency with SEMP, V&V plan, and compliance matrix.
  • Ensure alignment between Testing, Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, Airworthiness, and Manufacturing.
  • Set priorities for test assets, schedules, and budgets in coordination with Product Management and Turbofan Plan.
  • Represent the Test function in front of Platform, OEM, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance for test operations, including safety, risk assessment, and readiness reviews.
  • Build and manage a multidisciplinary test organization and mentor the test team, promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engine testing within turbofan propulsion or other similar complex engineered systems.
  • Experience with civil and/or military certification frameworks (EASA, FAA, EMAR).
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large test campaigns and proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to manage high-pressure, high-risk testing environments.
  • Clear mindset and promoter of HSE, reliability, and compliance.
