This position, reporting to the Applications Manager, involves managing end-user devices and IT assets. You will be responsible for the set-up, installation, uninstallation, and support of standard software on end-user devices. Your role includes the entire lifecycle management of IT assets, from procurement through to disposal. You will assist in inventory management and ensure that appropriate IS solutions/services are delivered according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Your responsibilities also include resolving escalated issues, adhering to IS policies and protocols, and collaborating on global requirements and roll-outs.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, install, un-install, and support standard software on end-user devices.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets following IT procedures.
  • Assist in IT asset management, including inventory and storage.
  • Deliver IS solutions/services in accordance with SLAs, on time and within budget.
  • Resolve escalated issues experienced by the business.
  • Adhere to IS policies, procedures, and ABB's core policies.
  • Manage IS-related vendor tasks and collaborate with OSS/CX teams.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS sciences or engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills, able to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Fast adaptability to change.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Basic understanding of computer troubleshooting, .Net application development, server administration, MS SQL Server, and network troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
