Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical lead, approving design deliverables and reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety, and quality assurance.
- Anticipate and solve crucial issues and unique conditions while serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.
- Collaborate on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues and providing solutions to correct engineering errors.
- Provide technical support to commissioning and start-up activities, working closely with customers to shape and deliver effective solutions.
- Finalize key concepts, including ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy,’ during Kick-off and design freeze meetings.
- Participate in project meetings to resolve outstanding technical issues and meet contractual obligations.
- Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects/programs.
- Apply Design Thinking and Design for Excellence concepts, including modeling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
- Conduct Project Peer-Reviews and utilize checklists for design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
- Share and contribute experiences in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
- Coach engineering colleagues on translating conceptual designs to engineering documentation and best practices.
- Ensure compliance of engineering activities with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Report any contract, safety, quality, program, and cost issues to Project Managers, along with recommendations for resolution.
- Create work plans and cost estimates for projects in consultation with respective Project Managers, ensuring quality deliverables on time and budget.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain function and participate with Manufacturing and Testing teams to assure technical solutions are properly manufactured and tested.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work according to customer expectations.
Qualifications for the Role:
- Engineering Degree.
- Comprehensive understanding of networking and cyber security systems, combined with knowledge of automation systems.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with Onshore and/or Offshore Oil and Gas customers.
- Customer interpersonal skills and experience in Industrial networking and cyber security solutions for Control systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks, particularly in OT environments.
- Familiarity with OT-specific cybersecurity standards such as ISA/IEC 62443.
- Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation in industrial settings.
- Proficient with CISCO Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches and Level-2 Network Technology including VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, and MRP.
- Experience with MPLS, L3 VPN, and L2 VPN, and knowledge of network monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of common OT protocols such as Modbus, IEC104, OPC, IEC61850.
- Relevant certifications including CCNA (R&S/Security) & CCNP (R&S/Security).
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity solutions such as McAfee ePO, Cisco FTD, FortiGate, and Sophos Firewall.
