The Fleet Remediation Engineering (FRE) team focuses on delivering designs that support our operational data centers to meet ever-evolving customer needs as we continue to scale our fleet.

  • Interface with cross-functional teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across different geographical regions.
  • Develop into a technical subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams to understand user requirements.
  • Carry out designs and calculations to meet project needs.
  • Manage design consultancy firms to generate, review, and release data center designs.
  • Draft and approve project scopes, requests for proposals (RFP), and requests for information (RFI).
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams to validate the installation and performance of systems.
  • Conduct site reviews and engineering evaluations, including audits and site launches.
  • Review and approve equipment submittals.
  • Troubleshoot problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for design-related issues.
  • Specify appropriate mechanical equipment in collaboration with regional vendors and manufacturers.
  • Provide technical support during construction phases.
  • Offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Travel up to 30% within the region (Europe, Middle East & Africa).

About the Team
You will interact daily with different teams responsible for various aspects of data centers. You will prioritize activities to support data center safety, remediation projects, capacity, and availability. Our team has diverse experience levels and encourages knowledge sharing and mentorship.

At AWS, we embrace our differences and are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion. We provide various employee-led affinity groups and innovative benefits, along with learning experiences to support diversity and inclusion within our workforce.
