Do you want to help our customers adopt agile operation models, build modern SaaS architectures, and be at the forefront of their Generative AI transformation? As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you will build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey. This role is based in Dubai and may require approximately 20% of business time for traveling to other countries in the MENAT area for customer visits.
Key Job Responsibilities
You will manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects. You will also:
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Build the technical relationship with customers and operate as their trusted advisor, prioritizing the best interests of the customer.
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
- Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g., whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) while evangelizing and educating about AWS through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others.
- Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customers' outcomes.
A Day in the Life
You will work with account managers to help ISV customers accelerate their cloud implementation to modernize their business on AWS. You will collaborate with these customers to transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions.
About the Team
The AWS ISV Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with software companies. We assist customers in designing and building scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions efficiently to enable them to expand their businesses globally.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, or DevOps across industries with the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Experience in managing complex sales processes with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience
- Business level English communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and familiarity with software companies and prior domain experience in enterprise cloud adoption and operating production workloads on AWS
- Knowledge of cloud native design patterns, DevOps practices, and AWS services
- Experience with or understanding of common enterprise regulations, security, and compliance standards
- Public speaking experience or a passion for creating technical content
- Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
- Business level Arabic communication skills, written and verbal
