About the Job
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solution Architect to engage with our Enterprise customers and other AWS teams to develop cloud-based solutions in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor, collaborating with AWS sales, business development, solutions architecture, and product teams to design highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that solve customer business challenges and drive the adoption of AWS services.
As a Solution Architect, you will utilize your customer-facing skills and technical expertise to effectively interact with both technical and senior personnel within customer organizations. Your goal will be to create and implement a technical strategy that delights our Enterprise customers, ensuring successful application and infrastructure migrations to the AWS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute the technical strategy alongside sales and business development.
- Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
- Collaborate with customers and various AWS teams to craft scalable cloud architectures addressing customer business issues.
- Educate customers on the AWS value proposition and engage in architectural discussions for effective cloud deployment.
- Capture and share best practices and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications, such as whitepapers and blogs.
A Day in the Life
You will work alongside account teams and specialists to deliver practical solutions that drive business outcomes for customers. Continuous learning and knowledge enhancement through AWS’s education opportunities are also key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in technology domains (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
- Proven success in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
