Position

The role of Senior IT Support Engineer is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The mission is simple: to ensure Amazon remains the go-to place for customers to find, discover, and buy anything online. As part of the IT team, you will be crucial in resolving complex hardware, software, server, and infrastructure issues, supporting the Operations network both on-site and on-call.

You will report to the IT Manager and work closely with various teams to implement and maintain critical infrastructure while providing day-to-day support to meet business needs. Additionally, you will serve as an escalation point for IT Support Technicians and remote support teams on technical issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring optimum performance of all IT equipment.
  • Liaise with global Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams for installation and maintenance of networking and server infrastructure.
  • Manage projects at the site level, including change management requests and project plans.
  • Perform site audits to ensure compliance with Amazon IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Act as a point of contact for contractors and external suppliers, clearly communicating technical issues.
  • Provide mentoring and training to technicians and other engineers, and support the recruitment of new talent.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies (AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM).
  • 4+ years of technical support experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting a Windows server environment.
  • Experience supporting video conferencing and teleconferencing equipment.
