The Role
We seek a Senior Solutions Architect (Server/Datacenter) to engage with key end-users and platform and software partners, demonstrating the differentiators of AMD technology. You will address business needs through real-world usage scenarios while providing technical support to strategic commercial end-user accounts within specific regions or vertical markets. This role emphasizes platform and end-user workload optimization, requiring a deep technical understanding of server processor architectures and related software stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate AMD-based technology offerings across multiple market verticals.
- Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to end-users.
- Collaborate with AMD and vendor specialists to create customer-specific solutions.
- Analyze vendor product solutions and evaluate performance based on customer needs.
- Serve as a technical advisor to sales for designing and integrating customer applications using AMD-based data center and client solutions.
- Install and test solutions to ensure successful deployments and evaluations.
- Lead technical design sessions and detail technical solutions aligned with end-user objectives.
- Conduct evaluations to ensure quality solutions are delivered and gain a solid understanding of the competitive landscape.
The Person
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- A Saudi Arabia National based in Saudi Arabia or the UAE, willing to relocate for this role long-term.
- Possessing excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Experienced in hardware, system architecture, and software.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently or as part of a team.
- Proven in building strong internal and external relationships and willing to travel up to 40%.
Preferred Experience
- Proven experience as a senior engineer or in a customer-facing technical role.
- Knowledge of market verticals like cloud computing, HPC, software-defined storage, and data analytics.
- Understanding of server and accelerator software ecosystems, including OS, hypervisors, and programming frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in configuring server systems, including software, networking, and storage infrastructure.
- Experience in application/workload profiling and performance assessment is a plus.
Academic Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred).
Location
This role will primarily cover the Saudi Arabia region, with potential initial placement in the UAE and frequent travel to Saudi Arabia until our AMD Saudi Arabia entity is established.
