The ideal candidate will be experienced as a Simulations and Systems Maintenance Engineer or Technical Operations Manager. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth functioning of high-end simulators and equipment, requiring a broad skill set for both technical hardware and software troubleshooting, along with strong vendor management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Engineering Knowledge:

    • Expertise in handling motion platforms, actuators, and mechanical parts.
    • Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Electronics and Electrical Engineering:

    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and power supplies.
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues in actuators, motors, and controllers.
  • Networking and IT:

    • Experience with network-connected devices (e.g., Cisco access points).
    • Maintain network integrity and manage remote system diagnostics.
  • Software and Systems:

    • Knowledge of simulator software (flight or racing simulation).
    • Perform software updates and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Vendor Coordination and Communication:

    • Identify when external support is needed and communicate effectively with vendors (e.g., BRUNNER, D-BOX, VESARO).
    • Manage warranty claims and service schedules.
  • General Facilities Maintenance:

    • Oversee overall system health, including environmental controls for simulators.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience with complex technical systems.
  • Experience maintaining high-end simulation systems (flight or racing simulators) is highly desirable.
  • Vendor management experience for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnostics on hardware and software issues.
