About
We are seeking a Senior Operations and DevOps Engineer to optimize our production environments and manage our diverse technological infrastructure. This role combines deep technical expertise in operating systems, web and big data cluster management, with advanced DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and cloud resource management.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize and maintain operating systems, web clusters, and big data clusters.
- Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes to support our 24/7 mission-critical environment.
- Develop and maintain Java middleware solutions and optimize performance across multiple platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Lead the implementation and management of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Enhance deployment and monitoring capabilities globally using cutting-edge DevOps tools.
- Automate cloud resource management to ensure efficient provisioning, configuration, auto-scaling, and management.
- Proactively monitor system performance metrics, respond to incidents, and resolve critical issues to maintain operational excellence.
- Enforce stringent security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Be flexible to handle on-demand tasks which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a high-growth technology environment, with strong expertise in DevOps or systems engineering.
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages such as Golang, Python, Rust, and shell scripting.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale cloud environments and using advanced configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Saltstack.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for cross-functional collaboration and executive reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or other related DevOps tools.
- Proven track record of leading significant infrastructure projects focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
- Experience in automation of security and compliance, especially in regulated industries.
