NoSQL Database Administrator

About the Job:
Avrioc Technologies is seeking a NoSQL Database Administrator with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in a DBA Administration role. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in Computer Science or a STEM area with majors in Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Administration:

  • Install, configure, and administer databases including MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
  • Design highly available, secure, and distributed database systems.
  • Implement security measures for database access and govern database access policies.

• Server Administration:

  • Install, configure, and administer Linux servers (Ubuntu & Redhat).

• Security & Governance:

  • Conduct security audits, capacity planning, and establish pro-active monitoring for databases and resources.
  • Implement data encryption, masking, and ensure data security and integrity.

• Cluster Management:

  • Manage node consistency, replication, multi-DC configuration, and recovery processes.

• Data Management:

  • Knowledge of ETL, data modeling, and report/dashboard creation with visualizations.
  • Expertise in the AWS RDS platform and optimizing cloud architecture for cost.

• Communication & Collaboration:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, familiar with tools like Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field (preferably Computer Science or related STEM).
• 8-10 years of DBA experience.
• Proficiency in MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
• Certification in the mentioned technologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
