About the Job
The Lark procurement R&D team, part of the Lark Business Applications team at ByteDance, focuses on enhancing procurement services that support over 100 business entities, including e-commerce and gaming sectors. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and AI applications, the team strives to improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring compliance. Our product offerings encompass a procurement mall, procurement center, supplier management, supplier portal, and outsourcing management.
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices such as style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product or program updates and user feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in software development in one or more programming languages, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and at least 1 year in software design and architecture.
- A strong curiosity to learn new technologies and a willingness to explore outside of one's comfort zone.
- Working proficiency and communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing world-class procurement systems.
- Experience with integrating machine learning solutions in products and measuring their effectiveness.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
