Responsibilities:
As an Apprentice Simulator Engineer, you’ll have hands-on training and exposure to all technical and operational aspects of Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices. Key responsibilities include:
- Technical Support & Maintenance: Support, monitor, and maintain simulator training devices, ensuring daily operational readiness and performing scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) events on training devices, working towards long-term solutions for recurring issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Improve maintenance procedures and manage updates, including Nav DB, Terr DB, and EFB Charts, ensuring lesson plan accuracy.
- Inventory & Logistics Management: Manage consumable inventory and tools, organize storage, and prepare items for shipping.
- Skills Growth: Develop expertise in simulator systems, such as Visual Systems, Motion, or Flight Controls.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or aviation-related fields.
- Aviation Knowledge: Foundational understanding of various aircraft, especially commercial jetliners and training device terminology.
- Language Proficiency: A strong command of English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.
- Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with computer systems, including architecture, networking, operating systems, and basic programming languages.
- Training Insight: Basic understanding of principles and practices in commercial aviation training.
