About the job
As a Service Engineer at Canon EMEA, you will play a critical role in providing cost-effective maintenance and optimizing the technical performance of hardware products in our portfolio. This includes maintaining and upgrading firmware (product system software) and product-related applications via remote technical support using Canon's remote assistance tools. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing first-line troubleshooting to identify and resolve root causes of problems for a wide range of standalone and connected products.
  • Achieving a high first-time fix rate while minimizing recalls through the efficient use of labor time and parts.
  • Reporting on a visit-by-visit basis regarding labor and parts investment, leveraging the CAESAR coding structure.
  • Optimizing car-stock inventory and balancing it against return to fit visits.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and contributing insights to the sales and marketing department via ‘OnSite-InSight’.
  • Understanding customer requirements to effectively support the functional approach of the Solution Business Strategy and liaising with account managers on customer issues.
  • Training super-users on Canon products installed, including necessary software and printer drivers.

What we ask

  • Engineering Degree or Diploma in electronics, mechanics, or software.
  • Relevant experience in the service industry, demonstrating an understanding of health and safety guidelines.
  • High technical aptitude with exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer handling and communication abilities; adept at providing customer instruction.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on optimizing overall team output.
  • Good commercial insight and business acumen, always representing Canon positively in behavior, communication, and appearance.
  • A current KSA driving license is required, along with availability in KSA (Riyadh or willingness to relocate within KSA).
