Our goal is to simplify Ceph’s installation, management, and usability, catering to large enterprise data center setups as well as smaller edge sites. We believe distributed storage should be accessible and easy to manage, adapting to the growing demands of data storage.

As an Engineering Manager at Canonical, you will lead a team focused on a Ceph-centric software-defined storage solution. Your role involves not only technical strength but also effective team leadership and development. You will ensure your team grows as engineers while maintaining high standards of software quality and delivery.

  • Promote modern, agile software development practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality and engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with other leaders in the organization as part of the leadership team.

Who You Are:

  • You have a software engineering background, preferably with experience in Python and C++.
  • Experience in operating scale-out storage clusters on Linux, ideally with Ceph, in production environments.
  • You embrace new technologies and drive innovation.
  • You are passionate about developing and growing people, with a history of success in this area.
  • You possess a strong interest in enhancing how software and infrastructure operate.
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for software development is essential.
