Position

The role of a Salesforce Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems at Canonical is an exciting opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and Ubuntu. This position involves driving the success of the business through the management of several engineering teams within the Commercial Systems unit. The Salesforce team specifically is responsible for the development and configuration of Canonical's Salesforce instance, aiming to provide a top-notch experience for the Sales and business operations teams while upholding the highest engineering standards.

As an engineering manager, you will lead a team of engineers to deliver solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform, seek improvements to processes and designs, and provide subject matter expertise to both business customers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in delivering Salesforce platform solutions.
  • Seek improvements in established processes and engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate on business analysis and technical designs.
  • Provide Salesforce subject matter expertise to stakeholders.
  • Deliver engineering solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce development and integrations.
  • Proven experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse team.
  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 2-4 times per year.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience as a software developer using a high-level language (preferably Go or Python).
  • Background in business roles such as sales, finance, or operations.

Work Conditions:

  • Fully remote working environment.
  • Ability to travel to international destinations for meetings (approximately twice a year).
