The role of a Salesforce Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems at Canonical is an exciting opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and Ubuntu. The Commercial Systems unit is responsible for several areas across six engineering teams, collaborating closely with other technical and business teams at Canonical. The Salesforce team focuses on the development and configuration of Canonical's Salesforce instance, aiming to deliver a first-class experience to Sales and business operations teams.
We are looking for an engineering manager who has senior-level engineering experience in Salesforce, a dedication to the highest engineering standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement and skill development. This role offers the opportunity to lead change, leverage the latest Salesforce features, and implement best practices while maintaining a lean and maintainable Salesforce instance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers to deliver solutions using the Salesforce platform.
- Seek improvements to established processes, designs, and engineering solutions.
- Collaborate on business analysis and technical designs.
- Provide Salesforce subject matter expertise to business customers and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Experience with Salesforce development and integrations.
- Prior experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse team and maintain organization in a fully remote environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 2-4 times a year, each trip lasting about one week.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience as a software developer in a high-level language, preferably Go or Python.
- Background in a business role such as sales, finance, or operations.
Language Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
