About the Job:
Space42 is a UAE-based AI-powered SpaceTech company that integrates satellite communications, geospatial analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities to provide innovative solutions. Established in 2024, Space42 emerged from the merger of Bayanat and Yahsat, focusing on evolving customer needs in governments, enterprises, and communities. The organization comprises two units: Yahsat Space Services, which handles satellite operations, and Bayanat Smart Solutions, which combines geospatial data with AI for enhanced decision-making.
The Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in aligning IT strategy with business goals, ensuring the organization's IT architecture supports both current and future business capabilities. This position, reporting to the Senior Manager IT PMO, entails defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework, collaborating with business leaders, and guiding IT investments to meet overarching business objectives while ensuring agility and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Define, develop, and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks and principles aligned with business strategy.
- Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure architectural alignment.
- Assess and recommend emerging technologies for innovation and efficiency.
- Govern architectural decisions to ensure compliance with policies and security best practices.
- Provide guidance during solution design and deployment phases and facilitate risk assessments.
- Support digital transformation and cloud adoption initiatives across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in enterprise architecture or solution architecture.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, integration platforms, and enterprise data management.
Additional Requirements:
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, compliance, and risk management.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
- Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams.
- Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, CISA) is strongly preferred.
- Project management experience or certification is an advantage.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is preferred.
