We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Web Engineering team. This role involves driving best practices across disciplines, leading technical conversations, and identifying and communicating project risks. The position offers opportunities to gain deep technical knowledge in innovative areas of technology while supporting the development of engineering skills within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of large projects and encourage efficient engineering processes.
- Write specifications, manage risks, and simplify complex issues.
- Conduct code and architectural reviews to uphold technical quality standards.
- Contribute to technical documentation and advocate for the product's success.
- Collaborate with team members to refine engineering and operational practices.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong soft skills, with a self-motivated and thoughtful approach.
- An exceptional academic track record with a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
- Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred) and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel twice a year for company events.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker, LXD, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in REST API design and governance, performance engineering, and security.
