As part of our mission, we are looking for a seasoned leader for the role of Technical Director - Core Network & Wireless Communication.

The Opportunity/Position Overview
The E2E Technical Lead will oversee all technical aspects of the business, driving technological innovation and aligning the company’s IT strategy with its commercial goals. This position requires expertise in fibre optic networks, data centers, cloud computing, satellite communications, and spectrum management. The Technical Director will manage technology operations, advance development projects, and provide strategic guidance in technology.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy and Vision: Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan and vision for technology. Ensure that technology resources align with both short- and long-term goals.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead, mentor, and oversee a technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Ensure effective communication and coordination within the department.
  • Project Management: Manage system architecture improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Organize technological operations to minimize service downtime.
  • Innovation and Progress: Lead the development of new technologies and enhancement of existing ones. Evaluate and select technology platforms for the company’s products and services.
  • Core Competence Oversight: Manage the design and deployment of core networks, radio networks, and fibre optic networks to ensure reliable connectivity. Oversee data center operations and establish cloud infrastructure plans to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Security and Compliance: Conduct IT security audits, risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain data security and create disaster recovery plans.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Provide technology consulting to management and maintain strategic relations with partners, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience of 20+ years in a senior leadership role, with over 10 years leading technology initiatives in a complex organization.
  • Strong track record of managing large-scale projects and technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of radio access networks (RAN), data centers, cloud infrastructure, satellite communications, and spectrum management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with strategic business acumen.
  • Prior experience in the security or telecommunications sector is advantageous.
