About the Job:

Our Specialists, as senior members of the Solution Engineering team, provide thought leadership on our products and underlying technologies. This role is integral to the Open Source community, working closely with our Pre-Sales team and strategic customers.
As a Cloud Solution Architect at Cloudera, you will lead the adoption of Cloudera running on Public Cloud Platforms, specializing in Big Data & Machine Learning workloads on AWS, GCP, and Azure. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves identifying use cases, developing best practices, and guiding customers through their data journey in the cloud.

Work Conditions:

- Travel up to 25% within the region, as domestic and international conditions permit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist account teams with technical expertise on running ETL, Analytical, Streaming, and Machine Learning workloads on Public Cloud infrastructure.
- Advise customers on optimal methods for executing Big Data workloads in the Public Cloud, considering performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead enablement workshops and evangelize Big Data use cases at various events.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet customer Cloud Compliance rules.
- Communicate customer feature requests to product management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role with experience on all three public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Public Cloud technical certifications (Architect, Security, Developer) are a plus.
- Experience implementing data solutions on Public Cloud using technologies like EMR, HDI, Dataproc, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SOLR, Elastic.
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Bash, or SQL, and working with REST APIs.
- Ability to work independently in a small, agile, and distributed team.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical marketing, public speaking, multilingual abilities, production-grade code development, and experience with enterprise architecture or PaaS/SaaS delivery.
