About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Network and Security Architect to design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient network architectures within our Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure networking services, security best practices, and the ability to create robust solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex Azure network architectures, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
  • Develop and maintain Azure network security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Configure and manage Azure firewalls, application gateways, and load balancers to optimize network performance and security.
  • Design and implement complex hybrid Azure connectivity including Azure ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, and VPN connections for hybrid cloud environments.
  • Design and implement secure Azure workloads and related services including Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Application Gateway, and Database Encryption.
  • Design and implement core and perimeter firewalls for different technology providers in Azure, such as Palo Alto, Fortinet.
  • Develop and maintain high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents, Network-Security diagrams, and related support documentation.
  • Design and implement secure Azure environments ensuring data is secured at rest and in transit.
  • Implement identity and access management solutions using Azure Active Directory and related services such as MFA and PAM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into DevOps processes and applications (DevSecOps).
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of Azure resources, ensuring alignment with the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
  • Design and implement Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and other security monitoring tools.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Azure-based systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure networking and security features and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, with at least 5 years focused on Azure networking and security.
  • Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) certification (required), with additional certifications such as AZ-700 (Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions) (required).
  • Preferred certifications include Palo Alto (PCNSE) or Fortinet NSE and F5 LTM/GTM.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Extensive experience with Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, and Azure Firewall.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, and ARM templates for automation and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and connectivity solutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools including Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation tasks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • CISSP, CCSP, or other relevant security certifications.
