About
The Executive – Infrastructure Operations will be part of the Field Team responsible for providing on-site technical support in Data Centers across the UAE, hosting Core42 Server and Network equipment. Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. We specialize in sovereign cloud and HPC, bringing generative AI, cybersecurity, professional, and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.
Responsibilities
- Establish network connectivity between systems as per the guidance and design specification given by the Network Manager or Network Engineer.
- Install rack-mountable equipment, hardware components, and structured cabling.
- Replace faulty network hardware components as requested by Network and System Engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the network, including physical connectivity.
- Implement approved network infrastructure upgrades.
- Assist network administrators with requirements analysis, network application design, implementation, problem investigation and resolution, and network application evaluation.
- Collect specifications for each system and maintain records to assist with troubleshooting.
- Monitor and resolve trouble tickets raised by NOC and operations teams.
- Supervise subcontractors on site to ensure project tasks are delivered to the right standards.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must have:
- Network and power capacity planning experience.
- Hands-on experience with installation and testing of structured cabling, including splicing fiber optic (ODF, cassettes, OTDR testing) and terminating copper CAT6.
- Experience with other network vendors is a plus.
- Working knowledge of network topologies (L1 & L2).
- Good knowledge of monitoring data center environments and critical assets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A team player mindset, self-motivated, willing to learn, and result-oriented.
- A GCC driving license is a plus.
