We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Lead Product Designer to join our innovative team at Inception in Abu Dhabi. As a lead, you will take charge of the design process from conceptualization to delivery, setting the standard for design excellence across our products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our designs not only meet user needs but also push the boundaries of creativity and usability. This role requires a strategic thinker who can inspire and guide a team, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and business teams to create impactful, user-centered solutions.
Inception is the UAE’s national-scale enabler in AI Research and Development. Partnering with Microsoft's AI SaaS, we focus on AI incubation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. By creating models tailored to specific domains and languages, we ensure superior accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Drive the end-to-end design process, from user research to final implementation, ensuring consistency and excellence in user experience.
- User-Centric Approach: Translate business goals and user needs into functional, engaging, and aesthetically appealing design solutions.
- Collaboration and Strategy: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and align on the product vision, goals, and roadmap.
- Team Development and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, fostering an environment that promotes creativity and innovation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a design advocate within the organization, conducting design critiques and promoting user-centered practices.
- Research and Testing: Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing; analyze findings to inform product strategy and design decisions.
- Prototyping and Iteration: Create interactive prototypes to gather user feedback, iterate based on results, and ensure a refined, user-friendly experience.
- Design Systems and Standards: Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures efficiency, consistency, and quality across platforms.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay current with design trends and propose new innovations to enhance the product experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.
- Proven experience in leading design teams and successful product launches focusing on high-quality design and user experience.
