The Senior Specialist - Technical Architecture plays a crucial role in shaping and guiding the technological infrastructure and strategy of the organization. This role is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business goals and objectives, ensuring that systems and processes are efficient, scalable, and secure. The Enterprise Architect collaborates with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business units, to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and competitiveness.
Core42 is a national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI in the UAE, combining expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on capabilities as a sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, Core42 brings generative AI, cybersecurity, professional, and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.
Responsibilities
- Baselining ASIS: Assists in setting and establishing architectural baselines, data capturing, and capabilities required for the Operational EA Function.
- EA Function Rollout: Assists in the overall EA function rollout and operational activities.
- Strategic Planning: Aids in developing and maintaining the enterprise architecture strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Technology Roadmap: Helps define and communicate a clear technology roadmap outlining the evolution of enterprise architecture across the defined landscape.
- Solution Design: Offers guidance in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions, ensuring consistency, compatibility, scalability, and security.
- Standards and Best Practices: Establishes and enforces architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Risk Management: Identifies potential risks and vulnerabilities and suggests mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Collaborates with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to evolve EA standards.
- Governance: Provides oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and policies.
- Vendor Management: Participates in evaluating and selecting technology vendors and managing vendor relationships.
- Technical Leadership: Provides technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Stays abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Capability Framework: Participates in promoting and operating the EA Capability framework.
- Cloud & AI Capabilities: Contributes to evolving and driving the cloud strategy and participates in AI-driven initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; certifications in technology streams are preferred; Azure certifications preferred; TOGAF Certified.
- Minimum Experience: 8 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in the relevant field; proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role; strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud computing, and security principles.
