The Senior Specialist - Technical Architecture plays a crucial role in shaping and guiding the technological infrastructure and strategy of the organization. This position is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business goals and objectives, ensuring that systems and processes are efficient, scalable, and secure. The Enterprise Architect collaborates with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business units, to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and competitiveness.
Core42 serves as the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. With capabilities as a sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, Core42 integrates generative AI, cybersecurity, and professional and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.
Responsibilities
- Baselining ASIS: Assist in setting and establishing architectural baselines, data capturing, and capabilities required for the Operational EA Function.
- EA Function Rollout: Support the overall EA function rollout and operational activities.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Technology Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear technology roadmap outlining the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time.
- Solution Design: Offer guidance in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions, ensuring consistency, compatibility, scalability, and security in line with EA capabilities.
- Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in enterprise architecture operations and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to evolve EA standards through planning, requirements gathering, and solutions.
- Governance: Provide oversight and governance for projects to ensure compliance with architectural standards and policies.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select technology vendors while managing vendor relationships to align with enterprise architecture goals.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, promoting innovation and excellence in architecture and design.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement of the enterprise architecture.
- Capability Framework: Promote and operate the EA Capability framework and help evolve it over time.
- Cloud & AI Capabilities: Drive cloud strategy and participate in cloud and AI-driven initiatives in line with EA directives.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Certifications in any technology streams are preferred, with Azure certifications being an advantage.
- TOGAF certification is required.

Minimum Experience:
- 8 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in relevant fields.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role, with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise systems integration, data architecture, and security principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge and experience with tools like PowerPoint, Word, MS Project, Visio, etc.
- Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of business process modeling and re-engineering.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL and experience with change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
