Job Description
The role of a Scrum Master is to educate the team on Agile processes and help team members follow Scrum practices religiously. A Scrum Master helps to establish a high-performing team dynamic, a continuous flow, and an exponential improvement in processes. He/she plays a pivotal role and is responsible for the progressive development of a Scrum team. A Scrum Master’s job is essentially to help everyone understand Scrum values, principles, and practices and get the best product out to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology.
- Responsible to remove the impediments for the scrum team.
- Facilitate his team for better creativity and tries to improve the efficiency of the development team.
- Arranged daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo and decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
- Helps product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint.
- Responsible to Conduct retrospective meetings.
- Organizes and facilitates the sprint planning meeting.
- Acts as a safeguard for his team.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- A tertiary level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
Years & Nature of Experience:
- Would have 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience has been demonstrated.
- A specialist individual contributor or a team lead who has managed and delivered projects.
- Has team or technical supervision skills.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience with complex technical activities.
- Has worked with more senior staff and dealt with complex issues, larger clients, accounts, projects, or internal relationships.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
Technical Competencies:
Scrum, Kanban, XP.
