About the Job
The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that provide a seamless user experience. The Senior Web Developer will play a key role in driving innovation, optimizing existing features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction. By leveraging experience in front-end and back-end technologies, the developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of our product and the overall success of the Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain web applications, including developing new features, debugging existing code, and ensuring the applications are optimized for the best user experience.
- Collaborate with other developers and designers to create a cohesive user experience and translate design wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimize front-end performance for speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
- Build and maintain robust backend logic, ensuring efficient processing and secure data handling.
- Participate in regular code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure the stability and reliability of the codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the development process, ensuring minimal disruption to the user experience.
- Plan, execute, and facilitate website and application development projects in accordance with specifications, budget, and timeline.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and best practices in website and application design and development.
- Solve complex problems and stay up-to-date on the latest web technologies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence, and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
Years & Nature of Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in web development, with a focus on React.js and Node.js.
- Experience as a specialist individual contributor or a team lead who has managed and delivered projects.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience with complex technical activities.
- Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, Alibaba, GCP, AWS, etc.).
- Good understanding of stabilization and security practices.
- Knowledge of network diagnostic tools.
