We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Customer Success team. In this role, you will travel, consult, develop, train, and troubleshoot to enhance clients’ experiences with Data Virtualization, helping them maximize their use of Denodo solutions.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Gain expertise in the Denodo Platform to deliver effective technical presentations about its features and benefits.
- Stay updated on modern technologies and address technical questions regarding customization, integration, and enterprise architecture.
- Lead the development of custom deployments tailored to client requirements.
- Provide feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support, and Development regarding client needs and issues.
- Train clients on product architecture, configuration, and utilization of the Denodo Platform.
- Maintain strong project management practices and foster collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Develop documentation and training materials.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in data management or analytics software.
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of relational and analytical database management.
- Experience in Java software development, particularly in web and database contexts.
- Familiarity with JDBC, XML, and Web Services APIs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent/native in Arabic and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, curiosity, creativity, and a team-oriented attitude.
Non-Mandatory Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with version control systems like GIT.
- Familiarity with Big Data and NoSQL environments (Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.).
- Knowledge of caching technologies (e.g., JCS) and server environments (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
- Involvement in business software implementation and integration projects.
- Experience with technical documentation and customer meetings.
- Additional foreign language skills are a plus.
