The Security Resident Engineer is a developing engineering role responsible for providing managed services to clients to ensure that their security infrastructures and systems remain operational. This involves proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems to restore service efficiently.

Work Conditions: Hybrid, Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure networking solutions to protect against advanced cyber threats.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and configure network security systems, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
- Develop and implement organization-wide best practices for IT security.
- Respond to network security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters related to such breaches.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues on network security matters.
- Stay updated with the latest security and technology developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE.
- Proven work experience as a Security Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web-related protocols.
- Hands-on experience with network security and monitoring tools (e.g., F5 LTM, Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco Secure Malware Analytics, Cisco ACS/ISE).
- Knowledge of enterprise network architecture and common routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- CCIE Security.
- Experience with cloud services and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
Language Requirements:
Strong proficiency in English is required.
