As the Machine Learning Engineer, you will engage in exciting projects that encompass the entire Data Science lifecycle. This includes raw data cleaning, exploration with primary and third-party systems, and advanced data visualization and Machine Learning development. You will work in a modern cloud-based data warehousing environment that supports Machine Learning models, collaborating with diverse and skilled coworkers. Your role will involve engaging with various departments—including product & tech, business verticals, trust & safety, and finance—to empower their success.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on regression and classification problems involving tabular, textual, and image data.
- Conduct forecasting, anomaly detection, and time-series analysis.
- Build recommendation engines and work on GPT-based applications for various business use cases.
- Query large datasets in AWS Redshift to extract necessary data for ML models.
- Perform data exploration to uncover patterns and assess data quality.
- Utilize Python for data analysis and to build statistical models addressing specific business problems.
- Evaluate and fine-tune ML models based on the underlying business problem.
- Collaborate with senior peers to deploy ML models into production as standalone data services.
- Create customer-facing reporting tools to provide insights and metrics on system performance.
- Participate in off-hours on-call stability rotations to support live ML models.
- Own at least one ML product in production.
Requirements
- Master's degree in AI, Statistics, Math, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning.
- Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and mathematics.
- Intermediate knowledge of Python’s ML stack: Pandas, Matplotlib, Sklearn, TensorFlow.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms such as Linear Regression, Gradient Boosted Trees, and Neural Networks.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and visualization tools (e.g., Periscope) with experience in handling large datasets.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and A/B testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Detail-oriented with strong business acumen.
