About the Job
The Sr Analyst I Infrastructure Services position at DXC Technology involves providing expertise for IT infrastructure, including servers and network, as well as application infrastructure such as SAP. You will be responsible for lifecycle management in alignment with contractually established terms and technical standards. This role includes providing technical input, solutions, and recommendations to support deal pursuits, as well as engaging in transition and transformation efforts. You will monitor service delivery compliance with budgetary constraints and quality standards while addressing customer and internal business/end user requirements.
In this role, you will provide technical support across various phases, including planning, project management, installation, ongoing management, troubleshooting, and de-installation. This will be done in accordance with operational policies and processes that comply with industry standards, such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). You will manage the technical/service relationship between the company and both customers and subcontractors/vendors, aiming to strengthen customer relationships and assist in business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical knowledge to operate technology areas or customer groups with moderate risk/complexity.
  • Independently resolve most technical incidents; collaborate with team members on more complex issues.
  • Identify potential escalations and proactively alert management.
  • Provide solutions to prevent problems from reoccurring and independently implement and verify changes to meet IT infrastructure needs.
  • Monitor environment for patch compliance and ensure accuracy in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Contribute to continual improvement processes and lead customer/internal projects within your area of responsibility.
  • Balance internal needs with those of customers and work as part of a virtual, global, and multi-functional team.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience; entry-level or intermediate-level certification(s) in the field may be held.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of technology relevant to the role (developing).
  • General understanding of related technologies and basic customer service principles.
  • Developing skills in project management, customer/vendor management, business analysis, and financial management.
