We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Computer Vision (Analytics). In this role, you will design and develop cutting-edge visual object tracking and image processing algorithms to enable precise and robust object tracking for unmanned systems over embedded hardware. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and optimizing advanced tracking techniques, including correlation filters, deep learning-based trackers, and feature-based methods.
  • Integrating visual tracking algorithms into real-time systems for unmanned platforms to ensure low-latency and high-performance tracking capabilities.
  • Collaborating with hardware and software teams to enhance the integration of tracking solutions with onboard processing units.
  • Developing sensor fusion strategies to improve tracking accuracy and reliability by combining data from various sensors (e.g., cameras, Lidar).
  • Enhancing visual trackers to adapt to dynamic and challenging environmental conditions, such as changes in lighting, weather, and terrain.
  • Utilizing machine learning and deep learning techniques to enable trackers to learn and adapt to new scenarios over time.
  • Conducting thorough benchmarking of visual tracking algorithms to assess their performance and suitability for specific unmanned applications.
  • Optimizing tracking algorithms for resource-constrained environments, ensuring efficient utilization of computational resources on unmanned platforms.
  • Engaging in continuous research to explore and apply state-of-the-art tracking methodologies to unmanned systems.
  • Documenting tracking algorithms, methodologies, and integration processes comprehensively.
  • Designing and executing extensive testing protocols to validate the reliability and accuracy of visual tracking algorithms in real-world scenarios.
  • Contributing to the creation of technical reports and project documentation.
  • Mentoring and training junior technical personnel.

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in computer vision and image processing.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python coding, with experience in machine learning and tracking algorithms.
  • Familiarity with CUDA programming and NVIDIA platforms.
  • Experience in version control and code maintenance.
  • Awareness of recent updates in the computer vision research field.
  • An analytical approach to problem-solving.
